What this policy covers
This policy explains how Interview Assist collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website and signed-in product. It applies to information you enter, upload, generate, or choose to record through Interview Assist.
Account information
We process information needed to create and operate your account, such as your name, email address, authentication details, account status, preferences, support messages, and feedback. Authentication providers may also process information under their own privacy terms.
Resumes and career information
You may provide resumes, career histories, accomplishments, projects, skills, education, and supporting documents. We extract readable text from supported files so Interview Assist can organize My Story, find relevant experience, and create materials or guidance you request. You control what you upload and should remove information you do not want processed.
Job descriptions and opportunities
When you add a job description, link, company name, role details, notes, or application materials, we use that information to explain the role, connect its requirements to your experience, generate tailored resumes and cover letters, and prepare likely interview questions. Opportunity information remains associated with your account.
Interview audio and transcripts
Interview Assist processes audio only after you authorize access. Audio is used to create text, detect questions, and provide guidance during the interview; the application does not store raw audio. Transcripts, detected questions, guidance, and debriefs may be saved to your account so you can review the interview and improve future preparation. Make sure everyone participating has provided any consent required by applicable law before recording or transcribing.
How AI is used
Automated systems help organize information, analyze roles, draft application materials, transcribe authorized audio, and generate preparation or live guidance. These systems can make mistakes. Interview Assist is designed to use information you provide and does not guarantee job outcomes, factual completeness, or the accuracy of generated content.
Product measurement
We record limited events such as page visits, signup, document and opportunity creation, preparation, interview start and completion, question detection, guidance display, duration, errors, and submitted feedback. Measurement events do not contain resume text, job-description text, transcript text, guidance text, or inferred protected characteristics.
Who can access information
Your career, opportunity, and interview information is separated by account-level access controls. Authorized administrators may access account administration information, aggregate launch measurements, and support or feedback records needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We use service providers for hosting, authentication, data storage, document processing, audio transcription, AI generation, reliability, and security. They process information for us under their applicable agreements and safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and product information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can edit or remove many items in the product. To request account or data deletion, contact us using the address below. Some limited records may remain where required for legal, fraud-prevention, backup, or security purposes.
Security and data location
We use access controls and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable protections.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or object to certain processing. You may also choose not to upload a document or start audio capture. Contact us to submit a request; we may need to verify your identity.
Children
Interview Assist is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will change the effective date above and provide additional notice when required.
